Berkeley, CAOctober 2025 — For the third year in a row, Eastshore Alliance FC has launched its Raise Craze fundraiser — a one-of-a-kind campaign that raises money not by selling goods, but by giving back. The initiative challenges players to complete Acts of Kindness in their communities while collecting donations to support the club’s Financial Aid Program.

This fall, the club aims to raise $40,000 to provide scholarships and reduce financial barriers for families across Berkeley, El Cerrito, Albany, Richmond, San Pablo and surrounding areas.

“This is about more than fundraising — it’s about building a culture of equity and connection. For three years now, our players have led the way in showing what it means to be great teammates, neighbors, and members of our shared community.” ~ Ted Steen, Executive Director of Finance & Administration

Acts of Kindness On and Off the Field

Over the past three years, EAFC players and teams have embraced the spirit of Raise Craze through hundreds of meaningful actions that have made a tangible difference in their communities, including:

  • Local shore and neighborhood cleanups

  • Writing heartfelt thank-you cards to parents and holiday cards to residents in assisted living homes

  • Hosting free soccer clinics for young neighborhood kids

  • Bringing donuts to other teams at practice as a gesture of support

  • Cheering on other EAFC teams at matches to build club unity

Every Dollar Supports Access and Equity

Eastshore Alliance FC is a nonprofit organization committed to making youth soccer inclusive and accessible. Funds raised through Raise Craze go directly toward offsetting the cost of tuition, uniforms, and travel for players who otherwise could not afford to participate.

With over 500 players in year-round programs – from Mini Allies to Junior Allies, Grassroots, and Competitive Soccer – the Financial Aid Program plays a vital role in the club’s mission to serve the broader East Bay.

How the Public Can Help

While EAFC members lead the campaign through acts of kindness, the broader community is invited to support the effort by:

  • Making a tax-deductible donation to the fundraiser

  • Becoming a local sponsor - with opportunities for business recognition across EAFC’s website, social media, and printed materials. EAFC Sponsorship Tiers 2025-2026
