Winter futsal program 2023-2024

Program Duration: 12 weeks, spanning December, January, and February.

Eligibility: Open only to competitive EAFC players born between 2012 and 2010.

Program Goals:
1. Provide a safe and supportive environment for EAFC players during the winter.
2. Maximize individual player development and enjoyment through creative games, including those played on multiple surfaces.
3. Improve individual player physical performance and injury resistance through fun and technical group fitness sessions, in collaboration with PhaseFit.
4. Offer players opportunities to compete in a competitive Futsal league against various opponents, tailored to their needs.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:

Pre-Holidays:

November 27th to December 14th: 1x per week training (3 sessions in total).
- Futsal League play starts at COPA Walnut Creek on December 2nd, 9th, and 16th weekends.
- League blackout dates from December 23rd to December 31st.

Post-Holidays:
-
January and February 2024: 16 training sessions, held twice a week with a professional coach (1 hour per session).
- 8 Performance/Injury Resistance Classes with PhasFit Gym, offered once a week (45 minutes per session, both on line and in person).
- Futsal League play restarts in January 2024, with CHampionship Weekend on March 2nd.
- League blackout dates in January from 13th to 15th (MLK weekend) and in February from 17th to 18th (Presidents Day weekend).
- Boys teams play on Saturdays, while girls teams play on Sundays.

- Korematsu indoor gym and outdoor asphalt
- Ocean View Elementary indoor gym
- Gilm outdoor turf

TOTAL SESSIONS:
- Total Training Sessions: 19
- Total Gym Sessions: 8
- Total Games: 8

Cost: $700 per player

This program offers an extended and comprehensive Futsal experience over the winter months, focusing on skill development, fitness, and competitive play. It provides players with a well-rounded opportunity to continue their soccer journey during the offseason.
